About Us
We are the family and friends of Lucas Miner. Lucas was born with SURF1 Leigh Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder characterized by progressive loss of abilities. Lucas lived joyfully with us from August 2, 2020 to December 6, 2022. Our experience of living alongside Lucas taught us much about the need for more inclusive design in the built world, and in particular at playgrounds in Seattle.
Our mission is to champion new legislation in Seattle that will require playgrounds be accessible and inclusive of those with mobility disabilities.
